About Me

My name is Emily Denton, and I am {sometimes} dysfunctional. I created this blog to discuss things other than weight loss. I'm sure this will be all over the place...which is fine because that's basically my life. ALL OVER THE PLACE!

First off, I got married April 2nd, 2011 to the love of my life Cody! He was in the United States Marine Corps. He is home now and working for a manufacturing company about a mile from where we live. We were together for 6 years before we got married. Even though we were together for so long, it's still a big change! In a good way of course! I'm still getting used to fitting into another HUGE family.

I am currently in the nursing program at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, AL. I commute about an hour. It's worth it because Decatur and Huntsville have bigger, busier hospitals. I feel like I'll get great experience there.

I love love love animals! I have three dogs. I absolutely adore them. I really want to do something with animals when I grow up. I like people, but I like animals more.

I have a wonderful family. Loving parents, a brother, sister, and precious nephew! My grandparents are all amazing and my aunts and uncles are pretty cool too :)

My mom was diagnosed with Metastatic Malignant Melanoma in June of 2011. She is currently stage 3c. She's kicking tail! Our family is now anti-tan and pro-sunscreen!

I was recently diagnosed with mild OCD (eeek), and I am a slight germaphobe. I like my space neat and clean, and you will never catch me without hand sanitizer! You think Cody would be a very neat person because of the military...think again!

I have the best friends in the entire world! They have helped me through all my struggles like Cody being away and my mom getting sick. I couldn't ask for better people in my life.
